About the Company

An established Sydney civil construction contractor delivering excavation, earthworks, demolition, remediation and complex civil packages. The business has a diverse pipeline spanning large-scale bulk excavation, detailed urban excavation, culvert works and projects involving challenging environmental, heritage and marine-adjacent conditions.

This role suits an experienced estimator who understands construction methodology, risk and commercial exposure and can develop robust tender pricing without relying on unsustainable rate reductions. You will work closely with project leadership, contribute technically during tender and client meetings, and help develop junior estimators within the team.

Requirements

• Significant senior estimating experience across civil construction, excavation, earthworks and related infrastructure works.
• Demonstrated ability to build detailed, commercially disciplined estimates including methodology, productivity, plant, labour, subcontractor and project risk allowances.
• Strong understanding of complex excavation and civil works, ideally including culverts, marine-adjacent environments, remediation or constrained urban projects.
• Proven ability to review, challenge and validate pricing while avoiding commercially unsustainable underquoting.
• Capability to delegate work, review junior estimators' outputs and confidently contribute to technical tender and stakeholder meetings.
